Instant Messaging (Just Add Internet)

Oh... Before I forget!! I am trying out a new messaging program called RhymBox. The results are mixed at this point in time (limited availability, questionable reliability and other quirks). I'm actually thinking about calling it quits on the unified messaging platform and installing each of the individual clients I need to access the different networks? What are your thoughts?
