And So It Begins!!

I have it on good authority that the cicadas participating in the current 17-year cycle of Brood X are beginning to break through the surface. Soon we will be swamped and enveloped by these bugs. Admittedly, I can honestly say that (this time, at least) I am NOT responsible for bringing down a "plague o' locusts o'er the land". They were here before I got here and they will be here long after humans have left. Apparently, they have even outlived the dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago as well. So, when it's the end of the world, it'll be the locusts and the cockroaches. Which, incidentally, happens to be perfect since they deserve one another!
