What is this world coming to?

A pregnant woman has been accused of attacking bartender Ricki Shields in Rochester, PA and has been sent to jail. I'm outraged at the bartender's efforts to apologize to Keisharra Abercrombie for putting her business "out there". I mean, really? Is it worth it to flip out like that? For more, click here.

I'm Grateful, You Should Be Too & Here's Why!

I'm grateful that I live in one of the greatest and most interesting ages of recorded history.
I'm grateful that I can pay taxes for more than my fair share of the government's costs for keeping me safe and making the world a better place.
I'm grateful that if this house of cards comes tumbling down, I will probably be okay.
I'm grateful that I do not have to worry about some of the things that those less fortunate than me do.
I'm grateful that emergency rooms will not refuse you even if you don't have medical insurance.
I'm grateful for the experiences I've had, the travels that I've had, the things that I've seen and the people I've met and gotten to know.
I'm grateful that I have my health.
I'm grateful for my family.
I'm grateful for you.

Dear Congress

Really? Do we need this media circus? Why the hell are our representatives and lawmakers involved with investigations of steroids and HGH in Major League Baseball? Why are they involved in investigating the New England Patriots use of video footage?

How about they focus on their responsibility to spend our money (never forget that taxes are our money!!) responsibly?

How about they focus on eliminating redundant and unnecessary government programs?

How about they reform government and require that they operate like the businesses in this country? I'd like to see SarbOx apply to government. I'd like to see a government website that allows me to see exactly where my money is going. I'd like to see complete transparency in everything that the government does with the exception of matters of national security.

Headed Home...

It's time... All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go. In a couple of hours, I'll be at the airport, doing the security shuffle and then just a few short steps away from going back east. It's been a great two weeks but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things.
Now, I am wondering just how bad things have gotten at work without me to move things along.

All Good Things...

Well, it's finally time for me to head home and wrap up my vacation. As they say (whoever they are), all good things must come to an end. To be completely honest, I'm really looking forward to going back east and getting back into the swing of things.

Whistler 2008

Another year has come and gone: a week of being in the mountains with good friends, good times, great memories and sore muscles goes with it.

All I can say is that I'm looking forward to 2009 which might be back in Whistler. In 2010, we most likely will not go back to Whistler because of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC (Canada) due to the fact that we anticipate significant traffic and congestion the year after next.
