The Rush For Judgement

In the current rush of right-wing talk radio and Fox News to cast doubt on former Vice-President Al Gore sharing the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on increasing awareness of global warming... Perhaps these same talking heads should listen to the science; the root cause is in question, of that there is no debate.
Humans may (or may not) be the cause or a contributor to global warming. However, that does not mitigate the fact that a significant shift in the Earth's ecology represents a clearer and more present danger to our way of life. We have a responsibility to manage the environment as the precious natural resource it is to ensure that when we are gone that there is a world worth leaving for those who come after us...

Global Warming

The truth is out there... The Earth is getting warmer, I don't think that anybody is going to argue that since planet wide ecology changes cyclically. The only real question is what impact humans have on the environment.
Regardless, I feel that the key here is for us to act as good stewards of our planet since it's the only home we have at this point in time.

If You Build It, They Will Come

The US Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee has voted to advance a bill which would help reduce US consumption of fossil fuels by encouraging ethanol research and production and other initiatives.

I, for one, applaud their intention to help make the USA energy independent.
